This policy describes information handled when you visit the SITKA Counseling website or use its contact and appointment-request links. It is separate from the Notice of Privacy Practices, which describes how the practice uses and discloses protected health information.

When you send a message, email, or request an appointment, you may provide your name, contact details, scheduling preferences, and any information you include in your inquiry. Please limit initial inquiries to the information needed to discuss availability and next steps.

How inquiry information is used

Information provided in an inquiry is used to respond to your questions, discuss services, and coordinate appointment requests. The handling of information that becomes part of your care is described in the Notice of Privacy Practices.

SimplePractice forms

The appointment-request and message forms are provided through SimplePractice. Information submitted through those forms is processed through that service. Please review the privacy information available in the Client Portal and SimplePractice’s privacy information for details about its services.

Website services and cookies

This website loads fonts from Google Fonts and an appointment and contact widget from SimplePractice. Loading external services sends technical information, such as your IP address and browser request details, to their providers. Website hosting services may also process technical information to deliver and protect the site.

The website’s own code does not currently include advertising pixels or analytics tools. Third-party services may use cookies or similar technologies under their own policies. Your browser settings allow you to manage cookies, although blocking them may affect third-party forms.

Email and sensitive information

Standard email may not provide the same protections as a client portal. Please avoid sending detailed clinical information by email and ask Rose about an appropriate way to share sensitive information.
